Enamelware Factory
The invasion of Poland may have looked like a disaster, but to Oskar Schindler, it was an opportunity. He relocated to Krakow in October 1939. He used the German policy to 'Aryanize' corporations owned by Jewish and Polish people to his benefit. He bought Rekord Ltd. and turned it into an enamelware factory known as Emalia. Although he owned several other factories, this one in particular employed Jews residing in the Krakow ghetto.
